Black Friday is 66 days away. This page was published on 2026-09-22 — before anyone announced a deal — and it states now how we will judge them.

We have checked these prices every week since 2026-08-08 — 12 checks so far, and roughly 21 by Black Friday. Three findings stand out, and none of them require knowing what November holds.
1. 12 of the 17 tracked listings have never changed price. Not once, in up to 12 weekly checks. If one of those shows a Black Friday discount, the discount is arithmetic against a list price, not a reduction in what you pay.
2. Across 6 weeks and 12 checks, exactly 2 listings got cheaper. Both were the same authorised dealer cutting its price on two Almost Heaven barrels on the same day. Over the same period 2 listings rose, and 1 dipped and returned to where it started. That is the entire picture of downward price movement in this category since August: one dealer, one day.
3. The advertised discounts were already running. Our Sale Index finds that every listing advertising a discount has advertised it on every single check — none has ever come off sale. A November promotion on those products will be the promotion they have been running all year, relabelled.

Two series are authorised-dealer listings rather than manufacturer-direct and are labelled. Every figure comes from an automated weekly check against the seller’s own public store endpoint. The raw observations are published as open JSON and the summary as CSV.
Open this page and the seller’s page side by side, and compare the price charged — not the percentage, not the struck-through figure — against the bold column above. That single comparison answers the question the advertising is designed to obscure.
Then, before you buy, two things this category punishes people for skipping: check what the unit actually needs from your electrical supply, because most of these require a dedicated circuit; and read the return terms, because restocking fees here run to 30% and two brands will not take the product back at all once it is assembled. A deal that has to go back is not a deal.
It will publish a verdict per product against the rule above, dated, with the observation history behind it. It will not tell you that prices are likely to fall, or that a particular week is the right time to buy — we have one season of data, which is not enough to claim a pattern, and we would rather say so than manufacture a forecast. When the record supports a seasonal claim, this page will make it and show the working.
Not when a discount deepens — when the price charged falls below its recorded low. On this evidence that email will be rare, which is rather the point.
