| Price series tracked | Every listed sauna and plunge we can check automatically, against the manufacturer’s own store. | 13 |
| Showing a permanent discount | A “regular” price sat above the asking price on every check — the sale has never been off. | 4 |
| Prices that actually moved | Genuine changes since we started, up or down. | 0 |
| Tracking since | We report only what our own dated checks saw. We claim nothing about prices before this date. | 2026-08-08 |
Every brand in this category runs a sale. The question worth answering before you spend $5,000 is whether the discount is a discount — or whether the higher number exists only to make the lower one look like an offer. So we check, we date every check, and we publish the lot (open data).

Mixed, and it is checkable. Of the 13 price series we track, 4 have shown a discount against a higher 'regular' price on every single check we have made since 2026-08-08 — meaning the sale has never once been off, which makes the higher number an anchor rather than a price anyone pays. Others simply list one price and charge it.
We do not know yet and will not guess. We began tracking on 2026-08-08, so we cannot honestly describe a seasonal pattern until we have watched one. This page will say so when the record supports it.
An automated weekly check against each manufacturer's own store, recording the asking price and any 'regular' price shown alongside it. Every check is dated and published as open JSON. Retailers who block automated checks are labelled as such rather than guessed at.
A permanent sale is not illegal and it is not unusual — it is ordinary retail practice. But it does mean the “save $2,273” on a product page is not a saving, and if you are timing a purchase around a countdown timer, you are timing it around nothing. The only way to know the difference is for somebody to write the price down every week. Nobody in this category was doing that, so we do.
The corollary matters too: when a price genuinely drops, we can prove it, and subscribers hear about it with the history attached.
Not when a countdown timer resets — when the number we recorded last week is higher than the number we recorded this week. With the history attached so you can judge it yourself.

Method: an automated weekly check against each manufacturer’s own storefront, recording the asking price and any concurrent “regular” price. Retailers that block automated checks are excluded rather than estimated — Costco is the notable one, and our Costco guide labels how each of those figures was obtained instead. Dealer prices are tracked as separate series from manufacturer-direct prices. Full data: price-history.json · products.json.
