The cleanest way to read this: in this category a “sale” is usually not an event. It is a permanent feature of the listing. The deepest standing discount we track is 55% off Plunge Chill Cold Plunge Chiller (1/3 HP), advertised on all 12 checks and never once withdrawn.
6 listings never advertised a discount at all. They publish one price and charge it: Dynamic Saunas Barcelona 2-Person, Ice Barrel 300 (no chiller), Nordic Wave Viking Premier, Plunge All-In Gen 2, Redwood Outdoors Thermowood Barrel 6-Person, Redwood Outdoors Thermowood Cabin 4-Person. That is not a small thing. If you are comparing a “40% off” listing against one of these, you are not comparing a discounted product to a full-price one — you are comparing a product whose seller anchors against one whose seller does not.

Limitations. 2 listings have fewer than 5 observations and are excluded from every headline figure, though they appear in the table and the data file. Checks are weekly but not perfectly evenly spaced. Two series are authorised-dealer listings rather than manufacturer-direct, and are labelled as such. Prices are read from each seller’s own public store endpoint; retailers who block automated checks are not tracked at all rather than estimated.
