This page is the contract behind every ranking on this site. It exists so you can check our work — and so we can't quietly lower the bar later.
Every factual claim on SaunaClear belongs to one of four tiers, and pages say which:
Verified spec. Checked against the manufacturer's own site, manual, or store endpoint, with the date shown. Prices in this tier are re-checked weekly by our tracker and the raw series is published in our open data.
Tracked observation. Something our systems recorded directly — a "sale" price reverting to full price, a spec quietly changing. We publish these with timestamps.
Owner-report synthesis. Recurring themes from customer reviews, owner forums, and complaint records, cited to their sources. We report patterns, not isolated anecdotes, and we never present paraphrased sentiment as our own testing.
Not verified. When we can't confirm a number, the page says "unverified" or "ask in writing" — we'd rather show you a gap than a guess.
We do not do hands-on lab testing, and no page will ever imply we did. We do not accept payment for placement, sponsored posts, or free units in exchange for coverage. We do not use manipulated urgency ("only 2 left!"), fake countdowns, or invented star ratings. We do not make health-benefit claims; sauna and cold exposure carry real contraindications, and medical questions belong with physicians, not affiliate sites.
Research is led by founder Md Hasan, using software-assisted research pipelines (price tracking, spec verification, review aggregation) with human editorial judgment on every published conclusion. Rankings follow the criteria on our methodology page; commercial relationships are listed on the disclosure page and never affect rankings — several of our top picks earn us nothing.
When we get something wrong, we fix the page, date the fix, and note what changed — corrections are published, not buried. Spotted an error? Email hello@saunaclear.com. Price discrepancies are usually the tracker catching a change mid-week; factual errors we aim to correct within 48 hours. Substantive corrections are noted on the affected page.
